  1. Education:
  2. Prof Zhi Jin was awarded a BSc in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, China in 1984, a Master Degree Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from Changsha Institute of Technology, China in 1987 and a PhD Computer Science (Intelligent Systems) from Changsha Institute of Technology, China in 1992.

简历:

Working Experiences:

Prof. Zhi Jin held a post-doctor position in Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1992 to 1994 and then became an associate professor. She has been a full professor in Academy of Mathematics and System Science at Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2001. She currently is a full professor in Peking University.

Prof Zhi Jin is vice director of the Key Laboratory of High Confidence Software Technologies of the Ministry of Education, and vice director of the Key Laboratory on Management, Decision and Information Systems of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Zhi Jin was a visiting scholar in INRIA, France, from November 1996 to May 1997 and in Ulster University, UK, from December 1997 to November 1998 and from October 2000 to May 2001. She was visiting professor in Queen’s University at Belfast, UK, from January 2004 to March 2004 and from July 2004 to September 2004. She was a visiting professor in Oxford Brookes University, UK, from July 2008 to September 2008. She is also an adjunct professor in Institute of Computing Technology at Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2004.

Research Interests and Major Research Achievements:

Prof. Zhi Jin has been a winner for several national-wide awards in China because of her outstanding research achievements. She has attracted and leads over 20 national competitive grants which include the Premier’s Award of Distinguished Young Scientists in China awarded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2006. She is now the First Chief Investigator for three national-level projects and two bilateral collaboration international projects. She has published two monographs, about 30 journal papers and over 60 international conference papers.

Prof. Zhi Jin has been working on knowledge-based requirements engineering for over ten years and has expertise, skills and research background in this field. She is leading the development of domain-modelling based requirements engineering for solving the most difficult problem in requirements engineering, i.e. communication and the automated requirements modelling and analysis built upon domain models. This work has been referred by UK Magazine AI WATCH as the first example that is putting the idea of using domain-specific KBSs to support mainstream software development into practice. Along this line, she has proposed the domain environment modelling based software capability specification which has been used in the service description and composition in Service Oriented Computing. She has published a series of papers in leading journals and conferences on this topic. Additionally, she has worked on another difficult issue in requirements engineering, i.e. the requirements inconsistency handling. She and her colleagues proposed an integrated measurement for locating and resolving inconsistency with the potential to develop a usable industrial tool.

Selected Recent Publications:

Related works have been published in renowned international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (IF = 2.063), Knowledge and Information Systems: An International Journal (IF = 0.57), Soft Computing (IF = 0.538), etc and in international mainstream conferences such as COMPSAC, ICWS, RE etc. These papers have received over 120 citations so far.
