The 17th China patent award awarding conference jointly sponsored by the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the World Intellectual Property Organization was held in Beijing on December 15, 2015. Prof. Hong Mei, Prof. Gang Huang, Prof. Donggang Cao and Prof. Qianxiang Wang, as the inventors, won the Chinese patent Excellence Award for The Assembly Method of Non Functional Features in Component-based Software (Patent No. ****10048128.1). Prof. Gang Huang, as one of the 10 outstanding award representatives, attended the conference and received the certificate. 

The China Patent Award is the only government award in China, which is specially awarded for invention and creation with patent right. It has been recognized by the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and has a certain influence in the world. The China Patent Award was established by the State Intellectual Property Office in 1989. The award criteria not only emphasize the patent technology level and innovation level of the project, but also pay attention to its application in the process of market transformation, and also put forward requirements for its protection and management.
