Jan 8, 2019 - The National Science and Technology Award Conference is held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, capital of China, Jan. 8, 2019. Party and state leaders, Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang are present at this conference and give awards for representatives of awardees, and Han Zheng conducts the conference.

The Resource Reflection Mechanism and High Efficient Interoperability Technologies for Cloud-End Hybrid Systems, for which Peking University is the first institute, has the honor to get the 2018 State Technological Invention First Class Award (major contributors: Hong Mei, Gang Hua, Ying Zhang, Xuanzhe Liu, Yao Guo, and Yingfei Xiong; involved institutes: Peking University and Beijing Internetware Limited Corporation). This is a great achievement of Peking University serving national big-data strategy, conquering world-class tech challenges, and actively implementing collaborative innovation of industry, university, and research.

Breaking the info silos, and realizing the efficient interoperation of business data and function with third-party systems, has become a major requirement for the development but also a bottleneck of value chain of big data from upstream to downstream. Through long-term exploration and practice, Academician Hong Mei and Professor Gang Huang lead the team to break through traditional white-box methodology of interoperation and propose a subverted innovation of black-box data interoperation. Revealing the internal mechanism of computation reflection based on cloud-end hybrid properties, they invent a whole platform of efficient interoperation of business data and function through external monitoring and control of system client. This platform eliminates white-box dependence including system source code, database tables, administrative access and the original development teams, improving the efficiency of releasing info silos.

This project has published a number of high-quality academic papers, and has won ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award and IEEE CS Technical Achievement Award (first of mainland China). It established a IP protection system of computer software that conforms to the international mainstream, won a patent ordinary (non-exclusive) license fee of 95 million yuan. It developed Yan-cloud platform for efficient interoperation of cloud-end hybrid system, collaborated with companies including Digital China, Lenovo, Iflytek, and Aliyun on multiple products and solutions, and effectively supported a number of major national tasks, such as open sharing of government data, “Internet+” government services, integration and sharing of government information systems, data interoperability in the national security field, and system integration in national defense field. It creates significant economic and social benefits and has broad application prospects, and it has become a common key technology supporting the development of China’s big-data industry.
