Professor Huang Gang's research group of the School of Computer Science has made important progress in the research of Internet of Data based China cloud solution

With the vigorous development of the Internet and a new generation of information technology and applications, data has become a basic strategic resource and a key production factor. Realizing trusted, manageable, and controllable data interconnection and intelligent applications on the untrusted Internet has become the basic requirement for the healthy development of the digital economy and digital society and is promoting the formation of a new data-centered infrastructure - Internet of Data.


Since 2018, Professor Huang Gang's research group at the School of Computer Science has led the national key R&D project "Cloud Computing Architecture and Platform for Human-Machine-Object Integration" and has joined hands with 17 universities and research institutes including Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, and Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to explore the software-defined digital networking China cloud solution jointly. The project team cooperated deeply with Robert Kahn, winner of the Turing Award and the father of the Internet, and proposed a software-defined method based on digital objects based on the digital object architecture DOA, the mainstream technology and standard system in the field of digital networking, which laid the theoretical foundation for the digital object architecture DOA, the mainstream technology and standard system in the field of digital networking. It has broken through a series of key technologies of digital networking based on digital object architecture, such as efficient encapsulation of digital object data entities, fault diagnosis of digital object microservices, trusted storage of digital object status, and trusted extraction of natural attributes of digital objects, led the formulation of a new version of the digital object interface protocol DOIP standard, one of the two basic protocols of DOA, and established the core technical system of the digital networking China cloud solution. Aiming at the application scenarios of human-machine-object integration, the system prototype of the digital networking China cloud solution was developed, and the application demonstration was carried out in typical fields such as smart city and intelligent assistant, which verified the feasibility of the digital networking China cloud solution.


After three years of research, the project passed the expert review at the comprehensive performance evaluation meeting organized by the High-tech Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology on November 2, 2021. Professor Huang Gang's research group will continue to unite with domestic and foreign industry, academia, research and research institutions and enterprises to further improve the theory, technology and standard system of the digital networking China cloud solution, promote the construction and major application of digital networking infrastructure in multiple fields and regions, and support the national big data strategy and the healthy development of the digital economy.
